English: Stereo card from the series Les théatres de Paris published by BK, Paris in the 1860s. The image depicts a scene from the opera Les Huguenots. The stereo card is a so called French tissue consisting of a hand colored albumen print mounted in a cardboard frame with tissue paper at the back. When the card is lit from behind the colors are visible. The copy of the card has been made by two different methods: by scanning on flatbed scanner and by photographing on a light box.
Svenska: Stereokort ur serien Les théatres de Paris, utgiven av BK, Paris på 1860-talet. Bilden föreställer en scen ur operan Hugenotterna. Stereokortet är ett så kallat French tissue bestående av ett handkolorerat albuminfoto monterat i kartongram med tunt papper på baksidan. När kortet belyses bakifrån framträder färgerna. Kopian av kortet har framställts med två olika metoder: skanning på flatbäddsskanner och fotografering på ljusbord. |
