Description
English: Stephen Connor discussing pain relief in palliative care with the BBC World News in 2013, in which Tulip Mazumdar was a field reporter.

Permission to use this material with attribution to the BBC was granted via email by Tulip Mazumdar, Global Health Reporter for BBC News. The email she sent to Dr. Stephen R. Connor is quoted verbatim below:

Dear Stephen,

Thanks for this, and thanks for all the time and energy you put into getting us the new statistics and answering our many questions over the last few months. We are really pleased with how it went and got some very strong feedback from various programmes, who also asked that I passed on their thanks. You did so many outlets (on very little sleep!) and were able to give audiences an important insight into the challenges and the movements forward in this important area.

RE use of the BBC material… as long as you clearly state these were BBC reports for BBC News, you are able to use them on your website. Alternatively you can put up the links to the BBC stories. Either option is fine.

Here’s the news report: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-27675511

Here’s the online written version, including the longer personal video stories of Betty and Sara, plus the video showing how morphine is made and distributed cheaply. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-27661462

Let’s stay in touch with further developments.

All the best in Geneva, Tulip
