Description
English: Aerial view of the eastern United States. Relief shown pictorially and by shading. Southern slave states indicated by the letter "S". Does not show Civil War military sites or battlefields. Hand colored to emphasize state boundaries. Sheet sectioned to 18 panels to enable folding. LC copy imperfect: Torn at upper fold line, taped, adhesive labels affixed to verso, cover title panel missing. Includes pictorial representations of major cities and towns at their cartographic locations. Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image.
