Description

Stamp of Romania; 1974; commemorative stamp of the issue "Impressionist Paintings"; As stamp motive is showing the painting "Orchard in Blossom" (French original title: "Pommiers en fleur à Eragny", German: "Blühende Apfelbäume") by the French painter and master of the pointillism (impressionism), Camille Pissarro (1830-1903); Menat is Jacob Abraham Camille Pissorro (born: , Charlotte Amalie (then Danish Virgin Islands) - dead , Paris (France)) Alfred Sisley (1839-1899) (lived in France); Meant as location is the French commune "Eragny-sur-Oise" in the Département "Val-d'Oise". Pissarro was a member of the Paris Commune 1871 and after the suppression of the Commune he retrait in his gardens northern and northwestern of Paris). Pissarro (Camille, he had a brother which was painter too) created this artwork in 1871 (year is unclear) in the style of the impressionism (pointillism) and this painting is contemporary located in the "National Museum of Arts of Romania" in Bucharest ("Revolution Square").; stamp postmarked
