Impressionism (from Latin "impressio" = "feeling") is a movement in the art history with main time around 1900 which was charactezed by athmospheric moments inside of the feeling glimpse of a certain scene. At that, one is trying to depict a possible realistic sensory "impression" of a scenery. Art- and Social-history theoreticians have labelled the "impressionism" as phenomenon of the general decadence of the society. Already in 1861 had characterized the French poet and writer Théophile Gautier the painting style, which he felt as "too volatile", as "impressionistic", which gave the whole art movement his name, after them this term was seized by any contemporary art criticians.
