Description

Airmail stamp of the United Arab Emirates - Emirate Fujeira; 1972; airmail stamp of the issue "Children's Day 1972 - Paintings"; The stamp motive shows the painting "Yvonne Grimpel avec bandeau bleu" ("Yvonne Grimpel with blue ribbon in hair (and in Double Matted Black Ornate)") by the French painter Auguste Renoir (1841-1919).; This painting was created in 1880 on order of Mademoiselle Grimpel for the "Paris Salon" in the style of the impressionism; contemporary it's located in the "Collection Javal" (France) or in the "National Assembly" (Paris, France) (other catalogue) (The "Assemblé nationale" was built 1720 as "Riding Hall" for the Franch King Louis XV. This building served since 1789 as seat of the "General states" under Louis XVI and was 1793 the location of the "Assemblée nationale" and as "Reception Hall" of the Tuileries in Paris; 1792-1795 was it the seat of the "Convention nationale"; 1802 demolished and re-built afterwards.; This building served as seat of the "Assemblée nationale" of the 2nd Republic (1848-1851), 3rd Republic (1871-1940), 4th Republic (1940-1958), 5th Republic (since 1958), and is located in the 126, rue de l'University in 75315 (...?)
