Summary

[edit]
Description Interior of the Church of St Thomas, Thurstonland, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Built 1870, designed by James Mallinson and William Swinden Barber. Showing turret clock mechanism by Potts of Leeds, manufactured and installed in 1889, protected by glass. On second floor of tower. The second floor has no windows and no lighting, so the photograph was taken with the aid of torches. Through the left-hand window the notched wheel that controls the clapper-strokes is visible.
