English: St Chad's Park Uppermill The Grade II listed building on the right is Uppermill Library which closed for refurbishment in January 2007 for approximately 13 weeks.
During that time the land outside the front door was sloped to allow disabled access through the front door and the library has been redecorated throughout. The park also holds what is often described as "the greatest free show on Earth" the annual Whit Friday Brass Band Contest click http://www.whitfriday.brassbands.saddleworth.org/ for more information. |
