Svenska: Diptera, blomfluga plus en mindre art. Spindelsilke är djurvärldens starkaste ämne, mer hållfast än stål. Med hjälp av hjulspindlarnas starka fångstnät fångas byten som ofta är större än spindlarna själva. Här har en blomfluga och en mindre släkting fastnat i nätet som nästan har kollapsat av de stora påkänningarna. Omkring 130 000 arter av tvåvingar är kända i världen men troligen är det långt mindre än hälften av alla som egentligen finns. De går att skilja från alla andra insekter genom att de har små klubblika balansorgan. Med hjälp av dessa "svängkolvar" har många av flugorna blivit några av världens skickligaste flygare.
English: Spider silk is the animal world's strongest substance.
About 130,000 species of flies, Dipterans, are known in the world, but probably it is less than half of all that actually exist. They can be distinguished from all other insects by having small club-like balance organs. With the help of these "halteres", many of the flies have become some of the world's most skilled fliers.
