Slovenščina: Bovška ovca se je razvila v severozahodnem delu Slovenije in je dobila ime po kraju Bovec. V dolini Trente ji pravijo »trentarka« in jo še danes največ redijo na območju Posočja. Bovška ovca je kritično ogrožena pasma, v izvorno rodovniško knjigo je bilo leta 2019 vpisanih okoli 2900 živali. Živali so prilagojene na skromne rejske razmere in na pašo na strmih gorskih pašnikih, kar vpliva na ugodno maščobno in kislinsko sestavo mleka. Bovška ovca je namenjena za prirejo mleka in jagnjet, v manjšem obsegu tudi za volno. Nekateri rejci mleko predelujejo v bovški sir, ki ima od leta 2012 evropsko zaščito označbe porekla. Stranska izdelka sta albuminska skuta in sirotka. |
