English: St Mary's parish church, Fairford, Gloucestershire: monumental brass to Sir Edmund Tame I (died 1534). On his tabard are shown the arms of Tame: Argent, a dragon vert and a lion azure crowned gules combatant. The inscription has been crudely enhanced with the name Edmund Tame re-inscribed. Some brasses missing, matrices only remain. Also of his two wives (1) Agnes Greville, to his left, with Greville arms embroidered on her mantle (2) Elizabeth Tyringham, to his right, with Tyringham arms embroidered on her mantle (A saltire engrailed, brasses missing, matrices only remain). The ledger line is inscribed as follows: "Of youre charite pray (for the) solle of Edmond Tame knyght here under buried which ... (decessed ?) ... the fyrst day of October in the yere of oure Lord God a thousand CCCCC XXXIIIIth and for the soule of (Agnes ?) his first wife which decessed the XXIII day of July in ...". Below the figure of Agnes Greville are two small brasses representing groups of his children, three daughters and two sons. On the bottom of Elizabeth Tyringham's robe are two small figures, possibly children, perhaps deceased.
