Title
Simple copper alloy ewer spout
Description
English: A fragment of a late medieval or early post medieval copper alloy ewer spout. The main body of the spout is faceted, hexagonal in shape and hollow. The assumed attachment end of the spout is broken. There is no evidence of the way in which it would have been attached to a vessel. There is a raised step on the upper surface of the spout following three of the spout's contours. Beyond this step is a further vertical extension. This is damaged. Beyond this extension the spout mouth is circular in section with no faceting. The fragment measures 50mm in length. The body of the spout measures 18.88mm in diameter whilst the circular section spout mouth measures 16.61mm in diameter. The fragment measures 53.3g.
