English: Signposts at crossroads, Slap o' The Gask An intriguing name for what is an ordinary crossroads. The field boundaries are set well back and beside the road signs is a notice board. It might be that the location as a meeting of ways has served for a long time as a place to advertise/exchange information? Maybe someone can shed light on the derivation of the name? |
