Severe Hit and Run Traffic Collision Involving a Pedestrian

North Hollywood: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for a severe hit-and-run traffic collision.

On July 03, 2024, around 4:35 p.m., a white four-door Infiniti sedan, traveling east on Sherman Way, near Coldwater Canyon Boulevard, collided with a pedestrian outside of the crosswalk. The driver of the Infiniti fled the scene, without stopping, identifying themselves, or attempting to render aid to the pedestrian, as required by law.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with severe injuries. Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a traffic collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe, notify emergency service, and remain at the scene as required by law.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
