Description
English: Supplementary Movie 1 Naïve flies receiving their first 300Hz vibration treatment and experienced flies towards the end of a daily vibration treatment. Flies are trapped in a Perspex tube of 4mm width. Cotton wool stoppers create a narrow environment. Flies react strongly to the first vibration trial. After seven hours of repetitive stress application they show signs of learned helplessness and do not move much.
