Notes
  • Significance: The design of this school is typical of several late nineteenth-century schools in Georgetown. The exterior is notable for its picturesque detail; the interior, for its spacious rooms. A generally open and expansive setting for the building is created because it is set back from the street (as are all the buildings along R Street) and because it is faced by the gardens of Montrose Park.
  • Survey number: HABS DC-244
  • Building/structure dates: 1890 Initial Construction
