Nederlands: Schutters van Rot G (Voetboogdoelen)Op dit groepsportret van Rot G van de Voetboogschutters heeft Dirck Barendsz. de maaltijd als bindend element gekozen. Dat ook wijn een belangrijke rol speelde mag blijken uit het briefje met opschrift 'In vino veritas' (In wijn ligt de waarheid). Dirck Barendsz maakte dit schilderij na een verblijf in Italië, waar hij kennismaakte met de grote vernieuwingen in de schilderkunst. In Venetië werkte hij enige tijd in het atelier van Titiaan, de belangrijkste schilder van zijn generatie. Zijn reiservaringen stelden Dirck Barendsz in staat om het rot schutters veel levendiger en overtuigender aan de dis weer te geven dan tot dusver gangbaar was geweest.
