English: The 142km 950mm Circumvesuviana system from Napoli took two visits to cover and was successfully completed in October 2017. The final branch covered was from Sarno and covered just the one way as only a 15 minute walk from the Trenitalia mainline station. With superb weather conditions and backdrop of the hills behind, a pair of ETR units numbers 027 and 054 form train 648, 15:49 Sarno to Napoli Porta Nolana.
Circumvesuviana (CV) merged with other private operators in the Napoli area in 2013 to form Ente Autonomo Volturno (EAV). |
