Respected Friend --- Rec’d yours of the 7th it was mailed the 9th and rec’d it the same evening—Went out today and on enquiring find Bolting Cloth kept only by our man Mr Thomas Hempshall he has two numbers only
No 7 marked 6/4 but measuring only 9/8

This last is the finest I am not a judge of the Article, but the goods appear very fair – he calls them the best Quality at these numbers -- Mr. Hempshall said for a piece unbroken he would take $5.50 per yard if he cuts the pieces his price is $6.00 – he has several pieces –
