A variant exists where the 16 illustrations and maps are printed on conjugate leaves, without signatures. The 12 maps which cover 2 pages each are on hinged leaves and are numbered 1-9, 01 [i.e., 10], 11, 21 [i.e., 12]

It represents the variant described above, with the first two illustrations on rectos, with their versos and conjugate leaves each blank; the third illustration is printed on a verso, with its recto and conjugate leaf blank. The map of Germany (no.4) has the incorrect designation "Germa" instead of "Germania". The map of the Mediterranean Sea (13th map, unnumb.) is represented by a single leaf only and is bound in between maps 8 and 9.
