Summary
[edit]DescriptionRoyal Warwickshire WWI Emblem.jpg |
English: This image shows the regimental badge of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment on the downland to the south of Sutton Mandeville, about 10 miles west of Salisbury in the UK. It was originally cut during WWI when troops from that regiment were camped and trained below the hill as preparation for onward transit to the war theatre in France. The badge was cleared and refurbished during the spring of 2018 and the new work was inaugurated by His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent in a ceremony on Thursday, 3rd May 2018. The Duke of Kent is the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers the successor of the RWR. |
