| Description |
English: Rocky beach exposed at low tide, Ringstead Bay, Dorset, England. Looking southeast along the beach beneath the outer cliffs at the foot of the White Nothe undercliff. In the distance, a wooden ladder scales the cliff to the start of the "Smugglers Path" that eventually leads to the top of the White Nothe headland. This path is cut off at high tide. On the left, some of the Kimmeridge Clay is exposed (probably - I'm not a geologist by training!). The clay forms most of the cliff above Ringstead Bay to the north of this point (behind the photographer). |
