English: The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating the following suspect, wanted in connection with a sexual assault in the confines of the 6th Precinct. Details are as follows:
On Friday, August 17, 2012 at approximately 10:00 a.m., the suspect entered a business located at 85 Washington Place and repeatedly struck the victim about the face and body until she went unconscious. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim and removed property from the location before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported by EMS to Beth Israel Medical Center in stable condition. The suspect is described as a black or hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, approximately 6'00", medium build, wearing a dark Kangol-style cap, dark T-shirt, camouflage shorts, and a backpack. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential. |
