Summary
[edit]DescriptionRiver Severn at Maisemore, looking north - geograph.org.uk - 1735646.jpg |
English: River Severn at Maisemore, looking north It's difficult to detect, but the Severn Bore can be seen as a few gentle ripples in the river just in the foreground. Despite being predicted as the highest bore wave for many years, it goes to show that many factors, such as the flow of water downstream and air pressure can affect a bore wave.
In past years, a much larger wave has been seen to flow all the way to the weir in the distance and reflect back downstream. |
