Description
English: This 5-lighted heraldic window was installed in the mid to late 18th century by William Peckitt, some panels (3, 8, 10 and14) were probably made by Thomas Willament. Some repairs to panels 11 and 14 were carried out in 1974.
The panels top to bottom, left to right are shields of the following.
1. William Aislabie (18th century) - priest.
2. William Weddell (1736-1792) - landowner and politician.
3. Elizabeth Sonia Lawrence.
4. Richard Wood.
5. Christopher Oxley.
6. George Allanson (1725-1798) - barrister and politician.
7. Marmaduke Lawson (1749-1814) - Prebendary.
8. Edward Venables Vernon (1757-1847) - Archbishop of York.
9. James Wilkinson - Prebendary (1761).
10. Robert Sutton - Canon (1828-1858).
11. John Robinson (1650-1723) - Bishop of Bristol (1710-c.1714) and then London (c.1714-1723).
12. The City of Ripon.
13. William Markham (1719-1807) - Archbishop of York (1777-1807).
14. William van Mildert (1765-1836) - Bishop of Llandaff (1819-1826) then Durham (1826-1836).
15. Beilby Porteus (1731-1809) Bishop of Chester (1776-1787) and then London (1787-1809).
