Bahasa Indonesia: Komunitas adat secara umum merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang sebagian besar masyarakatnya masih hidup secara tradisional dengan tetap mempertahankan kepercayaan-kepercayaan lokal yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Sementara itu penyebaran agama mondial dan kebijakan negara juga hadir di tengah komunitas adat. Ketika religi lokal dipertemukan dengan pandangan para mondial, lantas kebijakan pun menganggap bahwa religi lokal tidak setara dengan agama mondial, lantas kebijakan pun menganggap bahwa religi lokal tidak setara dengan agama mondial, sehingga religi lokal semakin punah dan kebudayaan masyarakat semakin tersisihkan. Hal inilah yang dihadapi oleh komunitas adat Dayak Salako di Desa Bagak Sahwa, Kecamatan Singkawang Timur, Kota Singkawang. Bagak Sahwa sebagai perdesaan yang dilalui jalur sutra, tentu makin terbuka terhadap pengaruh modernitas. Padahal desa tersebut dihuni oleh komunitas adat Dayak Salako dengan religi lokal yang telah mendarah daging dalam tradisi mereka. Hal ini tent mempengaruhi keberadaan komunitas adat Dayak Salako di Desa Bagak Sahwa. Buku ini mengungkapkan fenomena keberadaan religi lokal pada komunitas adat Dayak Salako, yang hingga kini masih dipertahankan melalui tradisi.
English: Indigenous communities in general are groups of people where most of the people still live in a traditional way while maintaining local beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. Meanwhile, the spread of mondial religion and state policies are also present in the midst of indigenous communities. When local religion is brought together with the views of mondials, then the policy also assumes local religion is not equivalent to mondial religion, then the policy also assumes that local religion is not equivalent to mondial religion, so that local religion is increasingly extinct and the culture of society is increasingly marginalized. This is what the Dayak Salako indigenous community faces in Bagak Sahwa Village, East Singkawang District, Singkawang City. Bagak Sahwa, as a village where the silk route passed, is certainly more open to the influence of modernity. Even though the village is inhabited by the Dayak Salako traditional community with a local religion that has been ingrained in their tradition. This certainly affects the existence of the Dayak Salako indigenous community in Bagak Sahwa Village. This book reveals the phenomenon of local religious existence in the Dayak Salako indigenous community, which is still maintained today through tradition.
