Description
English: Supplementary Movie 3 A chain of nickel particles is rotated with a frequency 5 Hz and creates a macroscopic vortex. Bacteria migrate from the origin of rotation due to a shear-induced alignment and self-propulsion. The movie is sped up by a factor of 8.
