Description
English: Supplementary Movie 1 Reorientation of bacteria by a vortex shear flow leads to rapid expulsion of bacteria from the rotating particle. The rotation frequency is 20 Hz. A small fraction of bacteria is trapped by the particle. These bacteria are released after the cessation of rotation. The movie is sped up by a factor of 10.
