Summary
[edit]DescriptionRailway bridge in a quarry near Northfleet - geograph.org.uk - 1557898.jpg |
English: Railway bridge in a quarry near Northfleet The new white railway bridge leads to Ebbsfleet Station (on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link) from Gravesend. This link line provides a new fast commuter link to London St.Pancras. The old line is underneath heading to Swanscombe, Greenhithe and onto London from Gravesend. This crossing is in a former quarry with old dismantled railway lines that led northwards towards the River Thames. The shrubs on the right hide the main quarry pit, now a lake. Also on the left is a dismantled footbridge from Northfleet. |
