Radial gate hoist mechanisms mounted above radial gates, view to the east - Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation System, Wasteway No. 1, Wellton-Mohawk Canal, North side of Wellton-Mohawk Canal, bounded by Gila River to North and the Union Pacific Railroad and Gila Mountains to south, Wellton, Yuma County, AZ-(located in the Lower Gila River Valley).
Note: Photo taken late afternoon (4:00 local time, shadows support this). The long mountain range is the Mohawk Mountains (west flank, that overlooks Mohawk Valley (Arizona)). To the left (at north end of Mohawk Valley), closer on horizon is a small hill called Baker Peaks, 1415 ft.-(a different color & size in Photo).
