RONDOM HET BASISACCOORD VAN LINGGARDJATI; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 51 uit 1946.; Adhv oude journaalbeelden en gefilmde krantekoppen wordt de vóórgeschiedenis van het Akkoord van Linggadjati verteld: de installatie van de commissie-generaal (Van Mook, Schermerhorn, De Boer, Van Poll) in september; de besprekingen in november in Indonesië van deze commissie met Sjahrir en Soekarno en de gesloten ontwerpovereenkomst waarbij de Republiek Indonesië de facto wordt erkend; de terugkeer van de commissie-generaal in Nederland in november en de commotie over de overeenkomst en de meningen van voor- en tegenstanders in de pers. In de Tweede Kamer beginnen de debatten over de ontwerpovereenkomst. SHOTS: - Binnenhof; ext. Ridderzaal; - div. parlementariërs begeven zich naar de ingang van de Tweede Kamer; - minister-president L.J.M. Beel en de ministers J.A. Jonkman (Overzeese Gebiedsdelen) en C.G.W.H. baron van Boetzelaer van Oosterhout (Buitenlandse Zaken); - publiek verzamelt zich op het Binnenhof en gaat de ingang naar de publieke tribune binnen; - portier sluit toegangsdeur Tweede Kamer. 30:56 Beel; 31:01 Jonkman (links); Boetzelaer (rechts).
