Čeština: Autor videa a fotografie Jiří Zelenka. Jan Vaclav Stamic (19.6.1717 - 27.3.1757) skladatel, huslista, koncertní mistr orchestru a malíř. První vzdělání získal od svého otce Antonína, pak studoval na jezuitském gymnáziu v Jihlavě a snad i v Praze. V 17.letech ukončil studia a nějaký čas po něm mizí stopy. V době válek o dědictví rakouské odešel do ciziny, kde putoval po německých knížecích dvorech a vystupoval jako hudební virtuos. Patrně od roku 1741 byl ve službách falckého kurfiřta v Mannheimu, kde působil jako koncertní mistr a dvorní kapelník. Stal se jedním ze zakladatelů tzv. mannheimské instrumentální školy. Během svého působení v Mannheimu navštívil dvakrát rodné město. Složil 175 hudebních děl. Jeho hudba nese stopy českých lidových písní. Jan Václav Stamic patřil k předním průkopníkům a spoluzakladatelem nového hudebního slohu - klasicismu |
