Porträt Fritz von Piattoli (1800-1849),der uneheliche Sohn Johannas, der 3. Tochter der Herzogin Anna Dorothea von Kurlands. Sein Vater war der Musikdirektor Arnoldi aus Sagan. Piattoli ist als Wasserfall mit Porträtkopf dargestellt. Neben dem Titel "Fritz v. Piattoli" und einem Vers unter dem Bild, ist der linke Rand der Zeichnung mit einem großen und einem kleinen "W" versehen. Unter dem linken Bildrand findet sich die Signatur "Emilie del.". Es ist damit das einzige der 47 kolorierten Blätter, das Emilie von Binzer zugewiesen werde kann. Scheinbar handelte es sich bei der Zeichnung um eine Zeichenübung Emilies mit Ernst Welker, ihrem Lehrer. - nachträglich mit einem Kreuz hinter Titel/Namen versehen [Bildunterschrift] Der Wasserfall hat vielen Schaum/ Viel Weichseln hat der Weichselbaum.Biografisches Fritz von Piattoli (1800–1849) war der uneheliche Sohn Johannas, der dritten Tochter der Herzogin von Kurland. Sein Vater war der Musikdirektor Arnoldi aus Sagan. In seinen ersten Lebensjahren wurde er von der Hofdame Jäger (1) der Herzogin von Kurland erzogen. Im Alter von zehn Jahren adoptierte ihn die Baronesse Julie Vietinghoff, ebenfalls Hofdame und Begleiterin der Herzogin, die 1805 Scipione Piattoli (1749–1809) geheiratet hatte. (2) Von 1808 bis 1818 lebte Fritz Piattoli als Pflegekind im Haus der Familie Parthey. (3) Er entschloss sich für ein Studium und zog nach Lausanne. 1829 heiratete er Louise von Seignoret de Villiers. Er starb 1849 während der Freiheitskämpfe bei Schloss Gödöllő in Ungarn. „Friedrich, genannt Fritz von Piattoli […] war ein lebhafter Jüngling, der sein Gesicht in alle Falten legen konnte, und Tiere und Menschen, heraufziehende Gewitter mit Sturm und Blitz trefflich nachahmen konnte; in ‘gutmüthigen Teufeleien’, wie es Parthey nennt, war er unerschöpflich, seine Studien in Heidelberg gingen wohl nicht in die Tiefe; er ward später ein tüchtiger Offizier in östreichischen Diensten, heirathete unsere oft genannte Louise, und ward als Major vor seiner Front am 6.
