| Description |
English: Pony and foal grazing at Gurnetfields Furzebreak, New Forest. The improved grazing at Gurnetfields Furzebreak was set down after the area had been used to grow crops for human consumption during the Second World War. The area is still maintained for grazing by cutting gorse and mowing, which prevents it from returning to heathland. These ponies are at the eastern end of the grassy area, with the woodland on the banks of the Beaulieu River in the background. |
