| Description |
Français : Panorama médiéval de Tours (Turones) au XV° siècle à l'endroit du pont d'Eudes. Vue recomposée du pont d'Eudes au XV° siècle dans une double perspective, vue de la ville et montrant celle-ci en arrière plan (Cf. Didier Duban, L'évolution entre l'autorité municipale et le fleuve à Tours du moyen-âge au XVIII° siècle ap. J.-C., Bulletin de la Société Archéologique de Touraine, 2005, tome 51, pp. 170 et 172). Ainsi, l'île Saint Jacques, côté ville, rive gauche, est au premier plan. On voit pourtant la cathédrales Saint Gatien, le château et châteauneuf-Saint Martin sur la rive gauche au fond - Extrait d'une gravure sur cuivre de 26 x 46 cm due au Flamand Franz Hogenberg, effectuée d'après un dessin que son compatriote Georg Hoefnagel a réalisé vraisemblablement en 1561. L'image figure dans le recueil édité à Cologne en 1572 par Georg Braun : Civitates orbis terrarum |
