English: Pond at Whitrig Bog This small pond near Whitrighill Farm has a pair of resident swans, but also attracts other wild birds. The fields around here between the nearby Bemersyde Moss Nature Reserve and Smailholm 3km to the Northeast, attract wild geese and swans in the winter months. A good number of geese were in the vicinity when this photograph was taken on 21/10/06. |
