"Chemin horizontal

Avec l'appui du conseil général du département, des communes d'Aas & d'Assouste & de Mr. le Marquis de Livron, 300 souscripteurs ont ouvert ce chemin sur un développement de 1700 mètres, exécutés en 40 jours pendant la saison des eaux de 1842, sous la direction de MM. le Comte de Kergorlan, A.D. Moreau, A.L. Deville, le Comte H. Dulong de Rosnay."
