Description
English: Phraratchaphongsawadan Nuea ("Royal Chronicle of the North") is a chronicle of the cities of Si Satchanalai and Sukhothai, which lay to the north of the kingdom of Ayutthaya. Produced in the year 2350 BE (1807/08 CE) by a Siamese nobleman, Phra Wichianpricha (Noi), at the behest of the Prince of the Front Palace (later King Rama II), the document incorporates old accounts from various sources which were compiled and arranged together to form one and the same work. The work was first published in the year 2412 BE (1869/70 CE) at the behest of King Rama V and was republished in the year 2445 BE (1902/03 CE). The republished edition is this file.
