English: Fluorescent microscopy live cell imaging video of the mitochondria of a HeLa cell after treatment with the mycotoxin phomoxanthone A (PXA). The real time between the capture of each individual image was about 20 sec, i.e. the whole video is a time lapse of about 2 min of real time. The mitochondria were stained with a DsRed derivative that localises to the mitochondrial matrix. Fragmentation of the mitochondrial network structure is visible as early as about 1 min after treatment. |
