| Description |
English: Path and fishing pond. The footpath seen here runs along the northern bank of the first, and highest, of a series of fishing ponds (private club) reached after walking down from the top of the Dumbles.
The Dumbles is the local name for a small valley. Originally the ponds provided fish to the hall and also ice for the Ice House, which is also in this valley. To see a photograph taken by the side of this pond (right, south-westerly), click here 586302. To see a photograph taken a little further up the valley (left, north-easterly), click here 586187. |
