Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Automatic pasta die washer made by I. DeFrancisci & Son, 219 Morgan Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. This die washer was developed about 1920 and was used in the pasta industry for cleaning the round pasta dies used in a press for making products such as spaghetti, Vermicelli and macaroni. The holes in the dies for forming pasta products was precise, and damage to them, or particles caught in the holes from not fully cleaned dies will cause defects to the pasta as dough is extruded through the dies.
