At the base of the tree three men are yelling and gesturing toward the bear, the man on the left is labeled "Inghilter" (England), the man at center is labeled "Austria", and the man on the right is labeled "Prussia", each holds a large club, the Prussian man also holds a large saw labeled "T. The scene on the right side of the wall shows a battered soldier clinging to the top of a tree labeled "Occupazione Austriaca". About half-way up the tree, at a spot labeled "Grivoscie", is a black bear climbing toward the soldier; at the base of the tree, on the left, is a white bear holding a stick labeled "Orso Della Russia" and on the right is a brown bear holding a stick labeled "Orso Del Erzegovina"; all three bears have their teeth bared as they snarl at the man in the tree.
