English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Prime Minister Jules Sedney of the Verenigde Hindoestaanse Partij (United Hindu Party, VHP) hands in his ballot for the States elections in Suriname. The four collaborating parties of Henk Arron, E.L.A. Wijntuin, Willy Soemita and Eddy Bruma, united in the Nationale Partij Kombinatie (National Party Combination), win the elections with 22 seats. The VHP gets 17 seats. In the evening the inhabitants of Suriname celebrate in the streets.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.
Minister-president Jules Sedney van de Verenigde Hindoestaanse Partij (VHP) levert zijn stembiljet in voor de Statenverkiezingen in Suriname.
