Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Ottringham Village Institute, Ottringham, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Corrugated iron building at the top end of Chapel Street. The institute is a charity, the object of which 'is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit (ie Ottringham and its neighbourhood) without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a)meetings, lectures and classes, and(b)other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.' There is a larger village hall just across New Road, but I'm not sure if this comes under the aegis of the Institute.
