Description
Italiano: L'Istituto degli Innocenti di Firenze opera da quasi sei secoli a favore della famiglia e dell'infanzia. All'epoca in cui sorse, la prima metà del '400, rappresentò la prima istituzione, nel mondo allora conosciuto, esclusivamente dedicata all' assistenza dei fanciulli. Ancora oggi l'Istituto ha sede in piazza della Santissima Annunziata, nell'edificio dello storico Ospedale progettato e realizzato da Filippo Brunelleschi che ne fece un esempio mirabile di architettura rinascimentale. Nel tempo ha continuato a essere arricchito dal contributo di insigni artisti. La storia dell'Istituto è immensa e si sviluppa nella secolare esperienza di assistenza ai fanciulli oltre che nel complesso patrimonio artistico-monumentale.
