Orkaan over Nederland; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 9 uit 1949.; Door een vliegende storm is de Zweedse koopvaarder 'C.A. Banck' gestrand op het Bloemendaalse strand. SHOTS: - hoge golven met schuimkoppen aan de kust; sleepboot worstelt met de golven; - div. ext. van het op het strand vastzittende Zweedse schip; - bemanning verlaat het schip via touwladder en gaat aan boord van de Zandvoortse reddingsboot die hen naar het strand brengt; - veel publieke belangstelling voor de redding en later, bij eb, voor het op het droge liggende schip; - div. shots van pogingen tot berging bij hoog water: het zand om het schip heen wordt met slangen weggezogen; sleepboten op zee trekken aan het schip; publiek op het strand zwaait ernaar. Aantekening : Kaartsysteem Polygoon vermeldt als locatie Zandvoort.
