Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; De zwemster Nel van Vliet behaalt op de Olympische spelen 1948 in Londen goud op de 200 mtr. schoolslag. Nu keert zij uit Londen terug in haar woonplaats Hilversum. SHOTS: - op het station komt een trein aanrijden; Nel stapt uit; - buiten het station neemt ze, samen met oa haar trainer Jan Stender, plaats in een open landauer en rijdt door de straten; enorme publieke belangstelling: bereden politie moet de rijbaan vrijhouden, de mensen lopen met de koets mee en geven handen of stoppen haar dingen toe; - bij het raadhuis stapt het gezelschap uit en gaat naar binnen: 00:41 de koetsier kijkt buitengewoon zuur.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; The swimmer Nel van Vliet wins the gold medal in 200 meter breast stroke at the Olympic Games of 1948. Now she returns from London to her home town Hilversum. SHOTS: - a train arrives at the train station; Nel gets off; - outside the train station she takes place in an open landau with her trainer Jan Stender and they ride through the streets; many spectators: mounted police has to keep the road clear, the people walk run along with the carriage and shake hands or give her presents; - at the town hall the company gets off and enters the building: 00:41 the driver makes a sour face. |
