Description
English: Design for an historical cortège in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The history of the city is portrayed from bottom left to top, from Eburones and Romans, via Charlemagne, Charles V and various sieges, to the Treaty of London (Limburg leaving the German Confederation) and the dismantling of the Maastricht fortifications, all in 1867.
