English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The last work is done on the reclamation of the Northeast Polder. SHOTS: - The historical development of the Wieringermeer Polder and the Northeast Polder are shown on a topographical map; - several shots of the grand landscape of the polder: (undeveloped) fields with ditches and canals; bridges and roads with one single car; scattered farms; haystacks; - men's legs, in boots, walks on the swampy ground; - the soil is ploughed: a very heavy plough, pulled by three tractors, makes deep furrows; - streetshots of the main town Emmeloord; - a machine, pulled by a tractor, makes dead straight channels in the ground; - drainpipes drain into the channels.

SHOTS: - Op een topografische kaart wordt de historische ontwikkeling van de Wieringermeerpolder en de Noordoostpolder in beeld gebracht; - div. shots van het weidse landschap van de polder: (braakliggende) akkers met sloten en vaarten; bruggen en wegen met één enkele eenzame auto; verspreide boerderijen; hooibergen; - mannenbenen, in laarzen gestoken, soppen door de drassige bodem; - de grond wordt omgeploegd: een zeer zware ploeg trekt, voortgetrokken door drie tractoren, diepe voren; - straatshots van de hoofdplaats Emmeloord; - een machine, voortgetrokken door een tractor, trekt kaarsrechte greppels in de grond; - drainagebuizen wateren af op de greppels. |
