English: Old railway wagon, below Birky Shank. There was a time when old railway wagons littered the countryside serving duty as farm sheds. There aren't so many left now, and this one is particularly remote from a railway being near the head of the long lonely road that wends its way northwards from Gilsland to terminate at Churnsike Lodge. |
